Sometimes it’s easy to forget how important little things like this can make a huge impact on how we live our lives. Through providing professional therapy sessions, developmental research and everyday life Aysha, DeAnna, and Stacey found this fact a little all too true and came together to find a sound solution.

During our undergraduate and graduate college experiences we “discovered” mindfulness. Practices such as learning to breathe and living in the present moment helped us to find calm amidst our busy student lives. It also helped with improving our well-being through our personal challenges.
After attending a talk led by Andres Gonzalez, Co-Founder of the Holistic Life Foundation, Aysha and Stacey brought their heads together and the idea behind Calm Connections was formed. Through stretching, deep breathing, and mindfulness, we hope to make a positive impact on the children, youth, and families of the Syracuse Community.

Our mission is to calm minds and build connections to empower the children, youth, and families of the Syracuse community through a variety of contemplative practices.
What is Mindfulness?

Noticing how your body feels and what your mind is doing, without judgment, and in the present. It is also noticing what you see, taste, feel, smell, and hear.
